Overview
An interactive demo, inside the retailer's own product page.
Shoppers browsing a Pixel 9 listing could open the phone's AI features and use them: Gemini, Magic Editor, Add Me, running in the page they were already on.

Research
AI is difficult to sell from a product page.
Specs can explain what a phone has. They cannot show what using it feels like.
The challenge was to make Pixel 9's AI features tangible inside the retailer's existing product experience, without sending shoppers somewhere else.
Experiment
Decision 01
Make AI playable, not explainable.
A product page can tell shoppers what Gemini does. The demo needed to let them actually try it.
I designed the interaction around short, direct moments of exploration so shoppers could understand the feature by using it rather than reading about it.

Decision 02
One experience, every screen.
The same interaction had to work across desktop, tablet and mobile, while remaining consistent across different retailer environments.
I designed the system so the interaction could scale across device sizes without losing the core experience.

Craft
Make it feel like Pixel, not like a widget.
The experience could not feel like a third-party widget dropped into a retailer page.
I designed the motion and micro-interactions around Google's visual language, keeping the experience recognizable as Pixel while adapting it to the constraints of embedded retail pages.
The same interaction model had to survive 33 different retailer templates, so the components carried their own spacing, motion and states rather than relying on the host page. I stayed in the build to catch visual drift and correct it before release.
Outcome
Designed once. Shipped across 33 retailers.
The experience was adapted and shipped across major retail platforms in 9 countries.

I led the design workflow from interaction concept through delivery, designing the micro-interactions and motion for the Gemini features and maintaining design accuracy through implementation.
I also worked across device sizes and retailer environments, keeping the experience aligned with Google's design system while resolving visual drift during the build.
The interaction was the product.
The most important part of the experience was not explaining Google's AI features better. It was creating enough interaction for shoppers to understand their value for themselves.
